Mortgage Declined

Anybody think this could be the issue? ^
Just a hunch, but yes.
Depending on what the Lender can see or if those words are what they see, it could mean anything up to and including your business being on the verge of going under!
Given that it's from HMRC it's got to be viewed as serious, but if that's all it is and is due for reversal, I think you will be alright.
Have your broker give them a call and query/explain.0 -
My Broker has sent the infomation to Santander but said it could take a couple of days to get an answer.
I also spoke to HMRC this morning to ask them if my credit score would be marked because of this incorrect fee.
They said it wouldn't show on my businesses credit score, so now im not sure what they have seen but they arnt allowed to tell you what it is.0 -
Hi Paul - have you been able to speak with Santander to find out where they are getting this information from?
My Broker is dealing with them and has told me they have got it from the Equifax report but unlike a personal credit score check I can’t see where you can check a business0 -
As someone who works in trade credit risk, filing accounts late is a massive negative as far as a credit score on a business goes. I would imagine that was your issue.
However if your annual returns are now up to date and accs filed at companies house your score will be adjusted accordingly, so it may have been a timing issue for you.
Not sure how it works with commercial/residential mortgage lending though, I assess businesses to offer credit facilities on a generally unsecured basis.0 -
We've just had a case declined for a similar thing.
We supplied three years' SA302s and our BDM told us they don't do this Equifax company search if you submit accounts or an accountant's certificate.
We're having a certificate prepared so we can appeal.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
