QuickQuid
Hi everyone
One of my work colleagues has a bit of an issue, was wondering if anyone could offer any advice?
Her daughter (18) left home a few months ago and moved into rented accommodation. At some point the daughter has taken out a loan from QuickQuid but used her mothers address for the application.
Her mother has been forwarding all her mail on, but after the 5th or 6th letter from QuickQuid she got a little worried so opened one of the letters and found out about the loan. She's since spoke to the daughter who says she isn't going to pay the loan back any time soon.
The mother is a little worried about what will happen now. She's spoke to QuickQuid advising that her daughter doesn't live at the address but was told it wasn't their problem, she even offered the daughters new address but obviously they wont change anything without speaking to the loanee.
Any suggestions on what she can do now?

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

It's not your friend's problem either. Her daughter will end up with a default on her credit file and possibly a CCJ if QuickQuid pursue the debt. Your friend can choose to return the letters to sender, forward them to her daughter or bin them.0

I'm guessing that a mark on the daughters credit file wouldn't have any effect on the mothers credit file then? That's probably her main concern from what she was saying. If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Not unless they are financially linked.0

It wont be linked the address either so your friend won't need to worry about that. All she can do is mark any letters as addressee not here or return to sender.0

Excellent, I'll give her the good news. Thanks for all your help!If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Never let the Daughter home.
Hey it's only Quick Quid, they won't want paying! that's the blame of our society
Moreover, I sat through a 'written assessment' with one of these so called payday loan lenders, the funniest thing I've never actually replied on writing anything to them myself as an actual debtor, double standards all the way I've learnt we care about your security they bleat :rotfl: ha ha!0 -
Wish I could give more details to fire the debate, but unfortunately I don't much else about her or her situation! If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

They have a budget set to one side of a huge amount as do all payday lenders to cover the cost of written off loans, This is then factored into loans for other people who do pay back on time.
That is one reason why these are expensive if borrowed of a longer term.0
