Mortgage application and old student loan

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker

Anybody know if a student loan (old style) must be repaid before applying for a mortgage? Assuming all the payments are up to date and this is the only debt so to speak? Anybody applied for a mortgage and it's been successful?... Thanks :)
