credit file after discharge

I was discharged from Bankruptcy last year and am trying to "clean up" my credit file as a few companies are still listing my debts as active default.
I've contacted one lot that tell me they have updated my record to show... partially settled or partially satisfied, Does this sound correct?
Also whats the position with a ccj post bankruptcy should it be updated in any way?

Cheers in advance.

    Partially settled/satisfied marker is correct.

CCJs from before your bankruptcy follow different rules. The Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines Regulations 2005 say they can only be marked as satisfied if actually paid in full. One included in a bankruptcy may no longer be enforceable against you, but it was not paid under the legal definition in those regulations, so can't be marked as such.

  • Another question about the ccj, it was issued feb 2013 at an address I vacated in june 2012, I would have tried to sort it had I known it was going to happen... Is there anything I can do and more to the point is it worth the effort ?

    Cheers

In my opinion, almost certainly not worth the bother.

The bankruptcy is a bigger blacker mark on your credit file than any CCJ, so it's presence is of little or no impact. The CCJ will also come off your file a year or so before the BR itself does.
