Claiming Benefits Poss New Job In future

I'm currently claiming benefits and this has all been noted in my petition. I'm due to go bankrupt in court within next 7 days. So I will be exempt from the court fees at least.
I've been offered a job with a local council (non financial role) they are taking ages to get everything in order, I've not received any contract or anything yet from them. I have been advised no need to mention anything as I've had no written confirmation as yet, and all the back office stuff can take another few months. Plus I might not even get decent references or something else might go wrong. Does anyone think I should mention anything about the possible new job?
Also the starting wage is around the £21k mark, although I'm paying high rent and bills. Due to my depression I would really like to go away this year and have a little cheap holiday just to have something to look forward to in life. Even my family have offered to pay a few hundred quid for one. I don't want to be giving a large chunk out of my wages to the Insolvency department as I will be left with very little from all my bills, food, travelling and rent. I do live in the South East so the cost of living is much more.
Any advice please?

Mention nothing until the new job is confirmed, do things based on your current circumstances and not what may or may not happen in the future

Once you know what your salary is and how much travelling etc is for this job, post up a new SOA and we can help see if everything is covered

Don't mention BR unless they ask - if you get the post then check the Employment handbook for any BR disclosure clause - unless you have applied for a restricted post there is no need for them to know. On that salary - I'm guessing you are not about to become a senior budget manager in local authority so I wouldn't worry about it.0
