Question regarding mortgage funding account

Options
Hi

This might be stupid question but is it possible to change the account that funds your mortgage? We took out a First Direct deal last year and this is currently funded through our First Direct current account.

I'm looking to take advantage of a better current account deal but do not want the hassle of having to transfer money into the First Direct current account just to fund the mortgage.

Can this be changed, is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

  • It sounds like this would just be a new Direct Debit mandate to be set up with FD (which may be done automatically for you if you use the switching service of your new account provider).
