PPI claim with First National SEcurities Limited

hello,
I am looking into making a claim for my parents who bought double glazing windows in 1984 and were convinced into taking out a loan to pay for them. the loan was for £1000.00 with £88.27 protected payment plan so a total of 1088.27 repayments were £26.69 x 60 months, so my parents ended paying back 1601.40 over the 5 year loan period.
The loan was with First National Securities ltd, First National House, College Road, Harrow, Middlesex HA11FB phone number 018611313. I don't think this company exists anymore, how do I find out who took it over or what bank/insurance company was behind it.
thanks,
breadman

It would be the double glazing company that sold it though. So, they carry liability for the sale. However, 1984 is 21 years prior to regulation.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). and pre regulation is something that means they can just tell you to 'move on' or words to that effect.
You are talking 31 years ago man, get real.....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
