Amazon sellers can pick and choose their feedback

I recently bought an external video capture card from a seller on Amazon Marketplace. It didn't work properly.
I'm very computer savvy with years of experience so I'm 100% sure I set it up correctly but the resulting video came out with awful results.
I returned it for a refund costing me £3.50 postage
I asked for my £3.50 back on top of a refund
The seller denied there was any fault and refused
So much for distant selling regulations
I expressed my dissatisfaction in feedback stating that the quality of goods was rubbish and not fit for purpose.
To my surprise I received the following message from Amazon
Thank you for submitting feedback on your Amazon Marketplace order. We regret to inform you that your recent feedback has been removed. While we highly value customer input, we occasionally remove feedback that does not meet our guidelines. Please take a moment to review the details of the removal below. You may then choose to revise and resubmit your feedback. We appreciate your understanding. Your feedback comment: Being tech savvy I installed this item and the necessary software correctly and the results were rubbish. The DVD came out so bad that it was unwatchable, Item unfit for purpose yet seller refused to pay return leaving me £3.50 out of pocket. He says it worked which maybe so but with unnacceptable results. Needless to say I won't deal with this seller again. Such a poor way to treat a customer
Reason for removal: Buyer submitted a product review instead of seller feedback.

August VGB100 - External USB Video Capture Card - S Video / Composite to USB Transfer Cable - Grabber Lead For Windows 8 / 7 / Vista / XP (Used)
Seller note: B Grade - It has been fully tested and is in perfect working order but the packaging may not be in perfect condition and the product could have minor scratches. It is supplied with a 6 month warranty, non-refundable. Seller: Daffodil UK
Order Date: 4 March 2015
Thank you.
So now it seems that Amazon sellers can have their negative feedback removed and submit their own review instead
Imagine if ebay followed this trend
I'm still reeling from disbelief
Such a stance destroys my confidence in what I thought was a reputeable company

They are right. You should have posted that in the seller feedback, not the product feedback. A product might be sold by various vendors.0
