I live with my partner and 3 children, 16, 12 & 12.
I am unemployed, my partner works part-time, we are not married.
We are not married, I have no assets, the car is my partners, which i use to drop off the kids and take her to work when she is unable due to work times, otherwise she drives herself.
She is the only earner and pays for the bills, which are now all in her name. She has no debts. Mine are all unsecured credit debts from when i worked.

£727 is fairly high for food and stuff, they may not accept that but if that's what you spend you may have to prove it.

3 children, your school trips should probably be double that per month as these trips aren't cheap :(

Are you sure school meals is only £17? That would cover a week for one of my children at their school.

Don't any of them do any do activities such as swimming after school?

The income isn't quite clear - you have no income other than benefits - do you claim TC's and CB for all 3 children?
You need to differentiate between your income is and then how much your partner contributes to the household budget.
If you have no assets and no income other than benefits, I'm guessing you are not going to get an IPA anyway.
However, the food costs even for 5 of you are very high - I would expect a good diet for a large family on £500 a month, unless there are specialist diets for medical reasons? I would seriously have a rethink on the food budget as part of your 'new' budget for your post BR life.

The groceries cover all meals including packed lunches on 4 out of the 5 days. It works out below £2.00 per person and is approx the total of grocery shopping through the week, normally 3 seperate trips throughout the week, split due to waiting for payments, on the tuesday then the friday. I take my son boxing and they all go to youth club on saturdays but they rarely get pocket money, we dont have it.
School trips i think come in about £5-£15 each approx every 6 months or so, so will have to check.

Its difficult trying to work out exactly how the budget gets split, all i know is that its very hard making it stretch and we are left without a proverbial *** to **** in each week. We hang out for pay days, then can't believe where its gone, as myself and my partner don't go out, we don't have holidays, we don't have sod all.

Also, my question is, how am i meant to prove all the outgoings where I do not have any income of my own and my partner is responsible for all these outgoings? I am not on any bills now and she isnt going bankrupt. I am.

You don't need to prove all your outgoings so long as they are reasonable, the only time you'll be asked for proof is if the examiner believes you are claiming too much for something. A good example would be trying to say your energy costs each month are £300, you would need to provide evidence of such a high utility bill but if you put down what a typical family uses of say £140 per month the examiner would probably be satisfied with that.

Would your children not benefit from eating a good cooked school meal, specially in the winter? So to confirm does the grocery bill include the cost of packed lunches? Even with that £727 is still very high, are you sure this is accurate?

If your income is soley made up of benefits the examiner may not even look at your SOA because you aren't earning an income.

I have amended the phones as me and my partner have phones, £15 each and my son also has an ee payg which we credit £15 per month. My missus and me did have contract phones but they will go into bankruptcy as stipulated in their t's & c's. So have got payg sims instead, which are just as good a deal nowadays
