What Am I Going To Do

My Ptnr and i are really struggling opening basic accounts, the only banks that we don't owe anything to are nationwide and the leeds and it seems you have to close existing accounts down before you can open a basic, this is holding up the process of iva, how can i close existing accounts down when i have huge o/d???????speechless-smiley-040.gif

    I'm not clear what you mean here ? why can't you open a basic account with nationwide ?

    You can't close an account until it is at a zero balance ? but that doesnt mean you have to have your earnings paid in there ? can you not open a new basic account with nationwide and have earnings paid in there ?

    That's what i did and walked away from three accounts with the halifax ???
