Payplan question

HI
i was wondering if anyone could answer this question. Basically my boyfriend was £20,000 in debt but is now well on the way to paying this off thanks to the support and advice from payplan! He is currently living with his parents but now wants to move in with me (i have my own house). Will this change in his situation affect his payment agreement he made with the banks?
He has 12 months left before he pays the debt off.

Thanks x

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to ur question, so this'll bump it up a bit for someone who does to answer.... It may well mean he has to pay less, as there will be the added cost of the rent/mortgage... one thing I will say tho (and please don't take this the wrong way!) u must be v careful when u do move in together, as ur finances may become linked - all it would take is one account to be joint, council tax for example, and u become associated financially with that person..... Unless that is what u want. It may affect ur credit score in the future if u are linked.

OH has a rubbish rating, so we made sure that financially we are not linked in any way - most of the bills are in my name and he pays me money each month.

    Good luck with the move!

  • Thanks for that Sarah,
Yes everything will continue to be in my name. Before he announced he was in debt i had no clue about these things, thats not the case now! :D

If he continues to pay the agreed amount it shoud make no difference to the arrangements, indeed there is really no need for them to know as he can presumably keep the corresponance at his parents address.

If however, he wants to reduce the payments them this will cause difficulties.

What exactly are the circumstances then?
