Marriott Vacation Club Loan

Hi,
In 2004 we took out a loan with First National to purchase two weeks with the Marriott Vacation Club. We were told at the time that this could be re-payed early at any time and we could also pay off chunks if we wanted to.

When we tried to obtain an early settlement figure last week we were told that the amount would not be any cheaper by paying it off early - in fact they will charge us a fee to do so!!

Has anyone else encountered similar experience and is this correct?

Thank you
Mag x

    Hi Mag

An obvious suggestion would be to check the terms and conditions of your original loan agreement to see what it says.

Beyond that, this feels like a question better suited to an American forum. I suspect that there's not much experience of US consumer law and lending codes around here.
