Anyone but me liable for my bankruptcy

I'll keep this short because I think I know the answer.

Seeing the proliferation of claims against various financial institutions I wondered if there were any law firms chasing this up.

I was made bankrupt (15 years ago) when I owned a struggling restaurant ... OK my fault but I got into a real debt spiral substantially caused by the bank's charges for bouncing cheques and unapproved overdrafts.

I was thoroughly ruined by the bank, the IP and the administrator and, whilst of course, I feel humiliated and very bitter I'm guessing there's little to be done except sit and sulk ... I just think I was MIS-SOLD bankruptcy and everyone benefited except me and my few creditors (the administrator took everything that they squeezed out of me) !

I'll stop before this turns into more of a sad old man's rant !

Regards Roger

ie caused by you not making as much money as you expected. Possibly bad luck, but you were informed about all these charges ahead of time, even if you didn't read the small print.

Commiserations on your bad luck, but it wasn't any body else's fault. And 15 years is too long to hold a grudge, drop the baggage, look outside where hopefully it's a sunny day, breathe in and move on. sheeite happens, but you're still here!

Thanks for taking the time Ermine ... though I do think, to a degree, it was somebodies fault (as well as mine) but you are totally correct ... I must try and forget it ...
