NRAM are merely trying to wind down the mortgage book as quickly as possible. As it gets smaller it will become less and less economical to run. In the past week another tranche of mortgages has been sold off. Gradually all that will be left will be the toxic assets from the old Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley mortgage books. As yet there's been no public discussion on how these will be liquidated. Still some years away. As NRAM's mortgages still number in the hundred's of thousands.0 -
Will all together mortgages automatically be classed as toxic debts - my husband hasn't ever missed a payment. Also, if sold off, will the terms of the mortgage remain the same or could the interest rates decrease ? Thank you.0
