Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Natty for last week's thread.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Ok, this week I'm not even going to pretend I'll get through it all. I'm just here for the gossip. That okay?

Thanks for the list dusty! Sending some positive and calming vibes.

Dusty- which half marathon did your OH do? Hubby and I did the Lincoln 10k today. Lovely weather for a race and paced some family members round to the time they wanted so very proud of them.

Could you have gone to watch and then all worked on the jobs together or done something for yourself. My hubby did 14 marathons last year so was out a lot, some of them overnight stays, and I found I had to take the boys out for the day as if not I would feel narked that I was doing jobs while he was off on a jolly with his mates!;)

Hm so much for yesterday's plan for today:
    - clothes for charity Nope. Sorry charity
    - finish [STRIKE]bedroom[/STRIKE]put a whole load of clothes away but didn't actually vacuum
    - tidy out medicine cupboard in en suite er....nope
    - [STRIKE]more in garden (shredding[/STRIKE]; seed sowing; [STRIKE]general tidying[/STRIKE]) Mr N did that while I was at church. And I'd not put church on my list!
    - [STRIKE]take motor bike out for tea somewhere; will be the 1st time I've been on the back since before Mr N's op[/STRIKE] That was really good. Did 60 miles, had coffee and 2 apricot macaroons (they came in pairs).
    - [STRIKE]sort info following client enquiry[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]sort timetable/paperwork for next week's students[/STRIKE]

So not overwhelming but an enjoyable day. Must say that after that total fit of BD followed by frantic downloading of anti-BD and mindfulness books onto Kindle, I've felt much better. And I've only read one of the books so far. So far I'm focusing on "you can't change what thoughts come into your head, but you may be able to change how you react (behave) to them".

*Got uni work booked for Mon-Wed this week so far.
*Must order lilies for church; looks like it's me doing the arrangement again as we're all too scared as they are so expensive, but I'm more scared of refusing to do them!!! I was pleased with the end result last year so will take heart.
    *Need to book optician's appts
    * Need to check ingredients for Xmas pudding. No don't panic, it is still March - but having missed Xmas, I've not been asked to Xmas dinner on Easter Sunday by friends so said I'd make the pudding in order that it is wheat free. The week after Easter I've got mum, brother, stepbrother and both sil coming so thought I may as well did the turkey out of the freezer. And my xmas pud recipe always makes 2.
*Lots of seeds to sow and tidying of garden to do.

Hope you all have a good week, better than some of it has sounded for some of you. We're all only human.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Morning all. Hope Bossy and YSL are feeling more positive today. As Piggers says, don't sweat it. Only do what's really important, the rest can wait really.

Early start for me at the paid stuff today so I don't expect to do anything except dailies. Also flagging with the decluttering, am ahead for the year but not always getting rid of one item a day.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

After being awake for 2 hours in the night because virgin decided to send DS a text at 130, I'm not really with it this morning. DD had a meltdown last night so isn't really speaking to me this morning unless she has to and then it's with attitude. So I'm all set for the day ahead!

Oh well we'll see if I manage to get anything done tonight.

    Have a good day all

I'm in thanks for the list Dusty.

Will get the dailies done before I go out. I'm off to Northumberlandia with a friend. Have wanted to go for ages. It's a massive man made structure of a woman. Apparently it can be seen from space.

Kitchen floor was washed last night.

NarcOlepsy The comment about not being able to change our thoughts but we can change how we react to them is quite apt for me this morning.

Thank you for the new list, Dusty.

I have a busy week ahead and lots of frogs to deal with. Wednesday's trip to York is very necessary, as I heard last night from my SiL that my (half-)brother is now very poorly in hospital. They are both in their late 80's, so things not looking good. I am going to do minimum flying - again! - until Friday and have told DH I hope the house stays tidy in the meantime. He's generally getting much better at seeing things that need doing, and he regularly WUDUPA, but there's mud all over the hall floor that came off his walking boots yesterday  so he will be hoovering after breakfast.

    Today's list:
    - WMx2
    - check finances
    - clean out fridge as per Dusty's list
    - S&S kitchen sink, work surfaces and table
    - personal emails and phonecalls, mostly re my brother
    - organise Pudding Party tickets and send emails
    - help a friend for a couple of hours with preparations for her charity concert tomorrow
    - gardening: I need to attack the laurel bush before it rains
    - Old Wives' group this evening :)

(((Hugs))) and spoons where needed, sticks for BDs (especially for Bossy, Dusty, YL and Narc0). Hope everyone enjoys some sunshine this week - it's officially the last week of winter, as the clocks go forward next Sunday :T :T :T

    Morning all

Sun is shining in the land of Dust so I'm going to get some washing on.

First job will be the second coat of undercoat, may need to rub down a few bits where I was over zealous with the paint.

There will be me time everyday this week and YOU WILL ALL BE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE THIS the rest is entirely optional.
