Stakeholder Pension

Hello,

I'm looking for some basic advice regarding getting a stakeholder pension. I need to start putting into my pension as currently my workplace does not offer a scheme and i have some money left over from another workplace that i need to transfer within the next couple of months, otherwise, i lose the employer contributions.

I need something simple as i currently don't have the time to do the research for a SiPP.

I've been looking at the Stakeholder pensions offered on Cavendish online. Does anyone recommend them and what are they key things i should consider when selecting one?

Or should i just go visit an IFA and get myself sorted?

Thanks for any replies.

Stakeholder pensions are largely a niche product nowadays. Most personal pensions are cheaper on 20k plus values. Stakeholders really sit at the budget end of the market (low contributions/low value).

its no different to any other job in life. Do you DIY or do you get someone else to do it. If you DIY and get it right, you save money. if you DIY and get it wrong it costs you more.
