Hi all some advice needed please
I was made BR in 1999 whilst living in Croydon
I split up with my then girlfriend and moved away
I wrote to the OR at the time with my new address
Apparently the OR sent me some letters to my old address asking for a IPO to be paid which they now agree I never got
Anyway I went on with my life until this year when I started a business
My accountant was contacted by the IS saying my AD had been suspended because I hadn't paid the IPO back then and I'm still BR even after 16 years
The IS we're pretty good really
They agreed if I paid the IPO off in full (3600)they would discharge me which I have done
Sorry for the long tale and no question so far
The question is the BR has come up on my credit report with the correct date 1999 and the discharge date 2015
Shouldn't it just fall off my file as it's well over 6 years old?
I thought it was 6years from the BR date not the discharge date
It hasn't impacted on my score either it's still at 999
Anyway I'm confused
Opinions welcome

Experian say if it's still on their report they should be able to remove it if you give them proof of discharge.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks fermi that's correct, we'll gladly be able to look at any amendments that are needed to be made on your Experian Credit Report, if you would like to provide us with a proof of discharge for your BR, you can find our contact details here
I hope this helps

Would the same apply to other CRAs? Not sure if you can comment on that, but had to ask.
