how would you go about adopting them?

If there's a farm near you, go and ask, they may give them to you, we got some for a couple of ££ each. They were lovely, laid freely for several more years, though we're not too bothered about stark economics - we love having them around.

Thank you Penny, oh you with the wonderful pantry - yes, I remember! - how did you find the farm? Is it as simple as the yellow pages? I'm not sure that DH is as keen as I am, but I'm working on him.
What do you think is a good number. I got the idea of 2 from nowhere, how much do yours cost you to feed?
Thanks, moany0
