Not happy with Santander APR offered, whats the best course of action?

I recently got the headline rate of 3.9% from First Direct on a 20k loan.

They cut the headline offer to 3.6% the next week but I was pleased to get their best rate at the time.

Do you have any outstanding debts? Do you have any defaults or any other adverse credit history?

No defaults, one late payment on a barclaycard which was 1 day late about 3 years ago.

I did have credit card debts and some buy now pay later agreements which the loan was partly used to clear.

Other debt is mortgage and bmw pcp finance.

You can probably get a lower rate approved with vehicle finance via the dealer.

A search will be recorded on your credit file, but no other lender will know if it was approved or declined or otherwise...
