New Job Asked for Bank Address

My boyfriend starts a new job in a couple of weeks. He's filling in the paper work at the moment.
It asks for his banks address.. would this be the address of the branch he signed up with (linked to his sort code). Or the address of the branch he now uses?
When he signed up with the bank he lived on the other side of the country.

All they actually need is the sort code and account number. If they are asking for the address it will be the branch where his account is registered - the one he signed up with.0

As above ^^^ plus the company can easily and legally find the bank's address from the sort code..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0
