Damage to windows by window cleaner

As the title says, windows were cleaned today (first time) and the window cleaner has damaged the black trim (or rubber or whatever it's called). He has actually ripped it and pulled it off. About 6 inches in length. What can or should I do, will I now have a leak or condensation inside the window. Can this be fixed?

That stuff should not easily rip and certainly not with the tools a window cleaner uses. The seals are probably shot in which case I would get the whole panel (not the frame) replaced by a local glass company.0

I second this. Had some of my conservatory windows replaced by them 2 weeks back. Superb job.0
