Google is your friend and lots of towbar company sites have very good info on the types of towbar and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
It's going to be expensive - £250 to £400 but it is is the best way forward.
I've pretty much always had towbars and paid a fair bit for them. There is a mobile fitter local to me that fits them at your house.
The last one I fitted myself, using youtube guides and it saved a lot of money. I was quoted £360 and I fitted it for less than £130. I was quite reluctant but my wife egged me on. It took me most of the weekend, where the mobile fitter does it in about 2.5 hours with two people, but the saving was worth it. Worth considering if you are mechanically capable and willing to learn.0 -
I bought a cycle carrier a few years ago, brand new from Halfords. After reading the instructions and carefully inspecting the straps I realized that there was no way the straps were going to stay in place, the hooks just slide off. The design simply does not work and I can't understand why they are still on sale or even legal.0
