Sending passport to mortgage broker

We're applying for a Halifax mortgage via a broker. Apparently Halifax need to see more proof of our address/ID and have asked for some bills & sight of our original passports (solicitor certified copies won't do). So the broker has asked us to send him both our passports. This doesn't feel right, not sure how long we'd be…

If anyone is ever concerned about using Royal Mail buy two special delivery envelopes. Self address one envelope and put it in the other with your documents.

Your documents can be there and back within three days and are insured against loss.

Remember to make a notes of the tracking numbers.
