I want to open a SIPP with Bestinvest, but don't know where to invest the money
Can anyone give me a rough idea? It says things like gilts and bonds, but I'm not sure at all

I am not being mean, but if you dont know the answer at all, you need an IFA and not a Sipp (the S stands for Self).
You need to read up on investing, risk, different asset classes (which include bonds and gilts) and portfolio building.
Sipps are for advance investors who already know about these things.0 -

He's already been told that in numerous threads on the same subject.

Maybe some research/education?
What about starting here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Smarter-Investing-Simpler-Decisions-Financial/dp/0273785370/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426794383&sr=8-1&keywords=tim+hale
and here http://monevator.com
I have learned a huge amount from these over the past few months. It takes a lot of time and graft to get the basics.
But it allows you ask more specific and better questions that will help you more.0 -

Well, what is the safest investment that will beat inflation?
I'm not interested in risky investments even though they might make 20% increase

Jem16 posted another thread above that you posted over a month ago.
What have research and learning have you done since them. Your questions are meaningless unless you make some effort to learn at least the basics.
Sounds like you are now trolling.0 -
Sorry Honey, I dont mean to be mean (again). But you want growth you want safety you want a rabbit out of a hat.
You want (or really need) an IFA. Who you will have to pay a fee, but this can be paid thru the pension if you like (ie tax relief on the fee).
The safest investment that beats inflation is indexed liked bonds from NI but there aren't any new ones at the moment.
Or high interest current accts.
If you want your money to grow above/beat inflation, you need to consider some risk.
Crossposted with tigerspill but I agree. Get with the advice you have given. Otherwise at least I if not we are out.0
