Aspiring Solicitors - BOS-spam e-mail

I am almost certain that this a Spam fishing e-mail as i have received it on 3 separate accounts and all had the same file attached
I posted it on here to make others aware. my-self i will take no further action than it deserves I.E. THE BIN!!!

Yes, it is spam and the attached word or Excel file is malicious.

There has been a flood of reports about these emails this afternoon, on various forums and sources, so someone somewhere is sending them out in exceptionally large quantities today.

If in doubt ring your bank, they will soon tell you if there is a problem on your account

Unfortunately it would appear that someone is spamming thousands of people claiming to be from Aspiring Solicitors. Please ignore this as it is not genuine. Please also take comfort from the fact that our system and privacy policy has not been breached. I will update you when this has been resolved.

I had the same email today, a quick Google told me it was malware, delete, delete, delete!!!

How could a cheque or PO made payable to RBS be cashed by a crook, though? Intriguing.

No, its not the wording of the email, its the content, it says "click here to download statement", if you do so, you will get malware on your PC, the solicitors are actually real, but the email does not originate from them.
