Why am I still bankrupt after being discharged?

I went bankrupt in 2009 but am now discharged. I have just been told that if I was to sell my property which I own with my other half and we owned during the bankruptcy (a couple of years ago we had the letter from the trustees saying it has been given back to us) that the OR would STILL be entitled to any money we make on the property. Is this correct?
I thought that once you were discharged the bankruptcy was over but now I'm being told that potentially 6...7...8 years later if we sell our house they can STILL get money off us? So basically you are NEVER out of bankruptcy and potentially we could NEVER make any money on our property because any we would make would go straight to them. Is this right?

    Who told you that?

If the trustee told you that their interest had automatically re-vested back with you or been sold to you, then you should in normally circumstances be in the clear.

  • Receptionist at OR office told me that and said the case was now with RTLU Anglia whoever they are? I don't know if I should be worried about that? I thought this hell & stress was over now I'm discharged but it seems its never over.

Unless they had been to court to gain an extra charge on the property before it reverted, that would not be true as far as I know.
