fixed rate & no fees?

we have £58,000 left to pay on our home worth £145,000.we would like to be fixed for 5 years at the best possible rate with no fees.we have 2 endowments ending in 10 years also.i have found bank of ireland feesaver at 6.39% for 5 yrars with no fees does this sound a good deal also do i need a soliciter?

    Mortgage loans of £58,000 are fee sensitive, so the fees free deal sounds good.

    You will need a solicitor for the remortgage but the question is, who pays for it.

    Normally around £500 all in will be charged.

    Get some quotes in your area.

  • I agree with JoeK that fees free is probably the way foward for you.
    A number of lenders will provide basic, in house appointed legal work free of charge.
    Do appreciate that this may take a little longer than if you pay someone local, but if you are remortgaging in plenty of time before your existing deal runs out then you should be ok. Alternatively a number of lenders will offer you £200 -250 for you towards the cost of your own sols.
