Start looking for another job. Why run yourself into the ground on command? Cite your successes and sell yourself to an employer that will value your skillsets/potential and reward you accordingly.
80 hours of overtime - was that paid as well as the day off in lieu?0 -
You aren't unreasonable however you aren't also the first person who experiences something like this.
Most of the time, the most easy way of getting a rise is changing jobs. Perhaps time for you too

With 40 staff there should be a clear definition of your role within the company. Why do you get asked to switch departments as and when it pleases your MD? Accounting to Sales to Marketing? You may fall into the category of "Jack of all trades, Master of none"! If you feel frustrated, I think it is time to change your job. Just my opinion.SPC 08 - #452 - £415

I was going to say the MD as little or no respect for you but on reflection, he's treating you with a degree of contempt.double-0-eck wrote: »Spoke with HR consultant who just reiterated what MD had said and refused to speak with him in my defence.
You are failing to understand the role of HR, it is not to support you I'm afraid.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
There's no right to a payrise - if you want one, go in and present yourself as asked. The fact that he's had to push your meeting back a couple of days is annoying - but it happens.
All you can do is ask - if it doesn't happen, then you have a choice to stay and just put up with it, or find another job.' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Broadly, what sort of level are you working at?
The thing that struck me is that 80 hrs overtime over a 4-5 month period really isn't a great deal, I worked it out to be a bit less than 1hr/day - many people here will do more than that and just think of it as routine. (Or perhaps I am just a doormat!)0 -

Forget company loyalty - it doesn't exist. It's time to find somewhere new that will offer you a role and remuneration that match one another
You might find that when you hand in your resignation, your MD changes his mind on payrises also..0
