Ramp Agent/Maintenance

Hi all,
Looking for a little advice about a *career* decision. Recently started as a Ramp Agent but have been offered a Maintenance Role since starting training as a Ramp Agent.
Does anyone have any experience with being a Ramp Agent? The hours Iv been given are truly awful, epically awful in fact so I am pretty desperate to find something else, but I'm worried that I may be missing out on something. Surely a job with hours this bad must have an upside?
