Choice of mortgage payment date

Hi, on taking out my mortgage last year I chose 25th day of each month as my payment date. However, I note from my annual statement that the monthly payment due date is the 1st day of each month so in effect I am paying 24 dayslate every month. Will this have much effect on the amount of extra interest I pay over a year and the lifetime of the mortgage? Should I change by payment date to the 1st day of each month? I am concerned that if I do so I may get hit with an overpayment penalty as I have already overpaid the maximum 10% this year. It is a 5yr fixed mortgage with interest charged daiily.Thanks.
