£700 for new PC - What features should i look for?

    Techie guy can offer me this:-

    "I could do you a bespoke built Core2Duo based PC with similar spec - DVDR+/-
    DL, 256Mb graphics with TV out, 2gig ram, 360gb hdd, 19" TFT, wired and
    wireless network, Vista etc for around the £450 mark".

    What do you peeps think??

    AMD or Intel -What is better ?? I prefere Intel, but this just due to the hype, marketing and its a bigger brand.. Dont think thats a sound reason for my preference!!!!

  • Get an apple mac...... I got mine 2 days ago after using PCs for years and all I can say I wish I did it years ago. Its all so simple you just switch it and it will find all the drivers, Theres some good offers on at the apple shop and it wouldn't hurt to take a look at whats on offer.
