Hi,
Can someone provide me with the relevant advise on what options I may have after my purse was Lost/ stolen this morning after I withdrew £170 of benefits. I'ts normal for me to withdraw that amount every fortnight as I do all my shopping, electric ect in cash so I am aware, and can easily keep track of what I spend. I live with my partner and we are both claiming JSA untill mid April. I have retraced my steps. I have not yet called the police as my partner is out now to see if it has been handed into any of the shops. Does anyone know of perhaps a loan, or if theres anything the Dwp will do, or if I have any options please? Applying for credit is not an option. If anyone could help and u need further information please ask and I will answer to the best of my knowlege. Thank you.

You'd be better off asking in the Benefits section http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=139
Presumably you have reported it to the police, which will be the first question from anyone.0 -
Call the police straight away, DWP will ask you why you didn't.
You may be able to get a loan but not sure.
I really hope someone has handed it in.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Agree you need to report this ASAP and not wait until tomorrow.Thinking critically since 1996....0
