Hi 6ennie
I am postive you will be absolutely fine, I think we can over over read stuff as we are nervous about re-procussions (sic) due to what we have been through.
I still have to pinch myself that we have got back on the housing ladder as it meant so much to me to get my home back and feel secure again.
You are gonna be fine and hope the next 4 weeks whizz by to keys exchanging and you can enjoy your home and futureBR 9th Jan 2009 - Discharged 9th Jan 2010

There is an important point in all this, one which I have argued for years. Bankruptcy should not penalise a person for life.
I have always felt that if it's good enough to be discounted by credit reference agencies, it's good enough to be discounted by everyone else when it comes to lending.
The worst offenders are the insurance industry, although they're getting much better. I have lobbied for change for around 7 years now, the regulator seems to be uninterested, but still there's the perennial question has anyone, ever, living at the household been bankrupt. These days I find the easiest way around this is to answer no to that question on comparison sites, find the cheapest insurer I want to use then phone them to ask. Prime example recently - one comparison website wouldn't return the same quote if I answered yes someone had been bankrupt, then when I said no to the same question and went to the end insurer's website they only asked if bankruptcy had happened within 5 years.
I've long been of the opinion that politicians should stand up for bankrupts and stop it being a dirty history, criminals can have their convictions as spent so bankrupts should have equal treatment. I've lobbied hard over the years but my resources are limited and those wanting to be involved dropped off, but if anyone feels as strongly about this as me I think take 5 minutes to write an email to your local MP and tell them the unfair treatment of bankrupts has to stop, bankruptcy should become 'spent' like a conviction would and MP's need to enact a change in law to reflect this.0
