Tax relief on added pension

Hi

I have just bought some added pension using a lump sum and have received a letter saying to reclaim the tax on this via HMRC.

What is the simplest way to do this?

I don't normally fill in a tax return form.

Is there a deadline for me to do this by and will I lose my tax relief if not done by this date

it is normally sufficient to write them a letter with some statement from the pension company (keep copies of course); otherwise phone them

you have 4 years to do so but no reason to wait that long
