Furniture Shops Near Manchester
Options
Hi,
Am looking for a suggestions of decent furniture shop in Manchester that sells decent solid wood furniture. Have been to the new Ilva today which was okay, and have been to a couple of ones on Cheetham Hill Road (durham pine & t&j levy). Does anyone have any other recommendations?
btw we're looking for a sideboard, probably in solid oak/ash, budget up to around £600. Have seen a couple today but not quite perfect. There are some good deals on ebay but would rather see it in the flesh before parting with so much money!
All suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers
Nick

If you don't mind a drive, then pop over to Preston, there are some really good places here.......there's a place called Atkinsons on Church Street, also there's Quigley's on Ribbleton Lane who do amazing pieces of furniture, or on the cheaper side Bargains Galore on Church Street. I'm not sure about the last one as never been in, just drive past every morning!!!!
Also some furniture shops on Capitol Retail Park
Good Luck - I would definitely recommend Quigleys though - and they are very near the motorway0 -
In Prestwith theres a place called Warehouse and its on Warwick Street, I work for a charity that has several homes and we always use them, I dont know what they are like, but all of their items are good quality.0

I used to work in Eccles, next to the Makro building - there is a furntiture shop at the other end of the car park where we bought a stunning glass topped dining table and chairs for about £600.
Can't remember the name, but it's on Albert Street, Eccles<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

I was gonna suggest Housing Units- I've only heard of it till recently and tbh it's not my 'normal' kind of furniture shop, but we were looking for a sideboard (solid oak or similar) and thought we'd go up to £500- but found a perfect one for just under £300!
Before you buy anything there make sure you look round the whole store. It's massive adn they different sideboards in different parts!0 -
M&S do some nice furniture0
