Wholesale jewellery sale - Is it ok to order?

I've been reading the tips on this site for ages but I'm now here with my first post!
I have come across a wholesale jewellery site that has a sale on but I'm not in the trade. Can I still order from the site?
The site says no minimum order or account required.
Is there any law that means members of the public can't buy for personal use?

If a supplier is happy to sell to you, there's no law to say you can't buy - BUT if this site claims to be a wholesaler but you don't need an account and there is no minimum order, be very careful. It clearly isn't a wholesaler and is just using the term to try and kid you that you are buying at hugely advantageous prices. If the prices are cheap, assume the goods will be, too! Check the contact details (physical address and telephone number) and pay by Paypal if you can to give extra protection.0 -
Thanks. I guess it's a bit like Costco or Makro in that it's wholesale but almost anyone can walk in.
I now see on the site that you do need an account but no minimum order so I will sign up and make a test purchase.0 -
All good with the test order from the Vicki Jane Jewellery site. Even got a discount on the next order!
The most expensive thing I ordered was only 50p, so I would feel guilty using the discount lol.
I'm thinking of buying more to sell when I do car boot sales again in the summer.
Just need to workout where to get some display boxes etc.0 -
With p&p costing £4.98, you need to order a fair amount to make it worthwhile.
Lots of the items can be bought on Amazon post free - imported from overseas, but if you are ordering to sell in the summer, you've got plenty of time. Worth checking various Amazon sellers because prices do vary/fluctuate quite a bit.0
