I've also stopped dying my hair, am recently retired and couldn't afford it any more as I prefer to have it done in a salon. It's probably half grown out. Ive got naturally curly hair and for the first time ever I am growing it, it's about chin length at the moment. My hair seems to be white around the hairline and mixed grey/brown elsewhere. The only problem I have now is with styling. I still go to salon for cuts, the last tine I went it was straightened with GHDs, the only time I had straight hair...my daughter didn't recognise me!

My sides are chin length too. They are annoying me greatly because that length on me isn't very flattering. The back seems to grow so fast but the sides are taking forever.
