Time to Take Control

Every year for the past 7 years I've got to New Years Eve and thought 'this year was terrible, next year will be different', but it never ever was. Then last year I walked away from my long term abusive relationship and became a single mum of one.

Naturally 2015 is the year I can actually come good with the whole 'being different' thing, and that means a) shifting some of my debt, b) shifting some of my weight and c) accumulating some savings for our future. :j

Hopefully keeping a diary for myself in a public forum will keep me on the right track, and if I can pick up some hints and tips, and meet some new people along the way, then I feel there's nothing to lose!

So, as a first update, this morning I posted £16.43 worth of ebay sales. I will be putting up further listings later and hope to keep a small but steady trickle coming in from basically having a bit of a sort out around the house.

I've also signed up to Quidco, and will admit I'm annoyed I didn't do it sooner (the intention has been there since August) as my fortnightly trips to London using 'booking.com' and 'the trainline' would have accumulated a fair chunk already this year

I'm looking for other ways to add a little income and will be checking out the forums once my little guy is asleep. Here's to looking forward!
2014 was out with the old, 2015 is the year of change!

    Hey Patchwork

Welcome to the forum and the diaries. Be warned they can become addictive!!

I have subscribed and will tag along with your progress if you don't mind.

You'll be surprised at how quickly things ike Quidco and Topcashback add up. I only signed up to topcashback at the beginning of the year and already have over £60 in there wating to be paid. I also have Quidco and check both to see who gives the best rates on what I want, so that might be worth looking at too.
