Barclaycard - DMP

Hi, I am currently paying Barclaycard through my DMP and have been for a number of years. Just recd statement at it says this months payment (Feb) hasn't been received. My husband called them and they said they have a problem allocating step change payments at the moment and don't worry. I am of course worrying - has anybody any advice or having a similar issue. I do not want Barclaycard taking this any further - should I get something in writing from them?

Thank you!!

  • I don't have this problem but then I am not with Stepchange. I pay them directly via standing order every month.

    Hi,

What do you think BC will do to you for been late on one monthly payment ?
    Answer, absolutely nothing.

If your with stepchange, then no need to worry, if they have a glitch at there end, these things sometimes happen, if BC throw there toys out of the pram, simply write and tell them SC had a glitch and it was beyond your control.

Dont over think these things lol !!!!!

I think the glitch is with BC but I'm worried they will deny this going forward.
Perhaps I should just wait and see what next months statement says?
I think it is to do with BC taking over AMEX and changing account numbers, but they didn't think to inform us!

    Thank you

As long as you can show proof, in the form of a bank statement, that the payment was made, then you are covered.
