Hi all,
I know there is a thread for the Heinz Facebook competition this month, but this is a seperate freebie offer.
If you have a MyWaitrose card, make sure to pick up the Waitrose Magazine this month, as there is a free packet of tomato seeds stuck to an advert about half way through.
The Magazine is £1.20 but free to card holders (even the MyWaitrose card is free if you don't have one, or pick up a temporary one in-store).
Win win win!

Oh, I didn't realise. My local store must have some of the old leaflets, as they had loads of the leaflets with temporary cards in them by the customer service desk when I went in there yesterday.:j Comping on & off since 31/08/12 :beer:I comp for fun... and to kill the boredom!0 -

This sounds like a really nice idea- does anyone know how easily they would grow indoors and what you'd need (e.g plant pot obviously but rough size and so on?) I've never grown anything before (bar the yeast I "grew" as a primary school kid in preparation for making bread rolls!) but like the idea of growing tomatoes0

£1 in sealed pot for each UU (2011 135/500:D) 2012 have UU 130/400 (never realised I had a mini chemist under my bed!!!) :rotfl:2013 UU 156/350. 2014 UU 197/250 2015 UU 16/100

depends on space you have, in a conservatory or porch should be OK, window sill, forget it
From a link I saw, these are bush, field grown tomatoes, for machine harvesting, not dainty plum toms for a window sill
If you want easy peasy for a window sill find "balcony" strain, comes in red or yellow, you will not find them in the likes of Lidl / Poundland etc, you will need to go to real seed supplier
PS see you on the gardening forum :-)Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
