Hi,
Can anyone help?
I went bankrupt over 6 years ago and had my home repossessed over 7 years ago.
Can anyone advise if there is a mortgage lender that would consider me?
It will be 6 years this September from when i was discharged! I would not apply for a mortgage until after September.
It will be a joint mortgage with my husband, he already owns his own home with an excellent credit history with no arrears what so ever.
My credit file is now squeaky clean and i am now rebuilding my credit back up, by using a credit card on a monthly basis and paying it off before the bill is due.
If anyone can help and recommend i would really appreciate :rotfl:
I must add before anyone asks he cannot afford on his own this is why we need the joint mortgage!

Does this mean that there is lenders out their that will be able to offer a mortgage?
We did use a financial adviser, however i may as well have done it myself... Waste of space!
I am wondering if i would be better to just do it myself, rather than using a broker etc?0 -
You won't do it yourself. You just need the right broker.
Many lenders live with historical bankruptcies but the repossession adds an extra dimension.I am a Mortgage Broker

That's the hard part finding a broker that are specialist in these situations!
Do they not take my husband into consideration that he has an excellent credit history, and has had a mortgage for 10 years? 6 yrs of that i have paid towards but obviously this doesn't count as my name is not on the mortgage! It's so frustrating0
