It's supposed to be closed on Saturdays anyway, but the For Sale sign sounds ominous. :(

I think I noticed it closed earlier in the week. I was in a car and we passed it. In fact I think its been closed for a while. But I won't swear to it.:o

If you're even remotely handy with a screwdriver, a laptop screen is a doddle to fit.

I did the screen on my sons SONY laptop - 6 screws (usually under tiny rubber stops at the corners) to take the plastic bezel off, six screws holding the screen in place and that was it.

Just plugged the laptop model number into ebay and bought the cheapest new screen - £38.75
  • Phoned a few places earlier and getting it fixed at 12 tomorrow for £50. Cheapest screen I could find was amazon for £42. Need it sorted asap.

£50 is a very good price. I was charged nearly twice that not so long ago.

That is a good price. Like you, we were getting quotes of near £100 to leave it in.
  • Thanks everyone all sorted,
