  • I'm not rewarding a "bad" score I am going to get a card saying we are proud of him ... But there won't be a meal out for getting a score because the way I see it is he is going to have loads of exams and you can't keep doing it for every exam
It doesn't teach them anything if they getting a present for a not great score
My ds did get small treats after he sat the papers.
Magazine hot chocolate went for luck etc I think that fine

However i also know of kids who will be getting iPhones for a good / not so good result and ones who were taken for phones for trying after the paper that they sat
    I personally don't agree
I when I got my results for passing I got a Parker pen and a card
    Lol
  • Just on this sc thing a school doesn't have to say what score was a sc case and most will publish excluding sc scores as it would appear to be in favour of those applying for sc and realistically a grammar doesn't want to be publishing the fact they have admitted sc cases to take away from the grammar image

Just wondering if anyone is treating their child to a gift or perhaps taking them away at the weekend regardless of getting a high score or not??
My child didn't get all the test papers completed therefore he's not going to get a good result. Just unsure whether to get him something for trying it or do you not reward bad results??

Was going to maybe take him out for Tea and get him a card ...I am proud of him what ever score he gets it was and is a stressful time and he will have done what he could
