Thanks all I'm heading to the department stores this week to get an idea of whats around at the moment and then I'll see about the personal shopper route.

Lots of helpful hints, thank you so much. Eyebrow taming a priority !

Jersey material is really comfortable. Make sure whatever outfit you choose is comfortable.

If your not into dresses dont be afraid to wear trousers, wide leg trousers are the 'thing' of the summer, and can look so elegant with a nice jacket and top, and can be worn with heels or flats
  • Mom’s involvement in your wedding is sometimes indicated by how much money she and your father are putting into it. If they’re paying for it, then her involvement will be greater than if she’s only making a small contribution.
  • You sound very similar to my mum, who didn't really know what to do with herself for my wedding. For the last 20 years she's basically only worn trackies!

She has a lovely friend who basically took her in hand. They had several shopping trips to have a look about, so the pressure was off.
In the end she chose a jersey dress in a lovely print, and wore a jacket in a complementary colour.
I had booked a make up artist for myself, and she also did for mum/gran. Do go and have a chat with some of the girls on the make up counters. Just explain your having a look round, and ask what would they suggest? You can also book yourself in on some counters, so if you find one you like, they might be able to do it on the day for you.

Try not to stress, the prep should be fun :)
