Gum recession on bottom middle teeth? NHS?

My teeth are generally good - no fillings etc, but at the front, the gums are receeding - sort of looks like this -

I don't know why its happening because I brush there gently, but I do feel my teeth are moving/crowding towards each other and this is pushing them down into the gum more possibly.
I am worried its going to get really bad.
I have heard of a gum graft. Is this the only option? Is it free on the NHS? If no, how much via a private dentist?
Right now, I would say theres a problem, but in the future, probably

You need to ask the dentist who can see you.
Gum grafts are generally done by specialist periodontists (gum specialists). There isn't really any provision for this on the NHS so would be private.
It doesn't tend to be done unless things are quite bad though. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Do you smoke? If so, quit immediately. Smoking causes receding gums.0

Does the stitches hurt? ;/ I'm asked to go for gum grafting because even after braces my teeth looked weird with protruding gums...0
