hello can anyone shed any light??
I used the Mortgage point 8 years ago, since shortly after that i was paying them £50 a month as i changed insurance or something cant remember all the details. However i recently went through my finances and realised the DD was still being paid every month!!
I tried to contact them following a google search and it seemd they dont exist anymore,
My bank can tell me the account number its going into but nothing further, im sure i have overpiad and should be able to claim this back??
anyone know where to start??

They have closed down, they closed about 2-3 years ago.
I used to be their account manager at one of the companies they used - one of my biggest accounts!
You would need to speak to your bank and possibly citizens advice/solicitor as im not sure how you would get money back from a company no longer trading.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. thank you for the reply,
Surely the money is sitting somewhere ? Would you not think ?0 -
Lol - if I said that to my mum she would give me a belt. Of course its sitting somewhere. But that somewhere doesnt mean its in the business bank account waiting to be recalled.
It might have been pulled out of the business account/used to pay off any debts they had (if they had any) it could quite literally be anywhere. How do you sue a company that has closed down and presumably has no more assets?
