slightly obscure question but is there anyway I can get the purple plum juice stains out of my wooden chopping board?
I unthinkingly chopped up some plums on the wooden board (to stew) and now it is stained a very lurid purple.

I wouldn't worry about it. It will fade over time; tho you could try rubbing a cut lemon over it.0

I'd say lemon juice. It worked on my hands when I'd spent ages chopping plums for chutney last year.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

thanks - will try the lemon juice on it and report back. Just got to see if I even have a lemon now!0

Saw an Italian chef...Gino da Campo giving a tip on how to clean wooden chopping boards....sprinkle with coarse sea salt and rub vigorously all over with half a lemon in each hand...bleaches them beautifullyWeight 08 February 86kg0
