I'm very embarrassed that I've made things worse!

Well the only place to start is here, I joined the board last year with all the right intentions, we remortgaged in feb as our fixed rate was coming to an end, we transerred alot of our debt on to a mortgaged linked loan, which was fantastic, we then planned for having a baby, which I am now 6weeks pregnant but we spent loads again and now we are stuck unable to get any more credit and one of our 0% cards about to jump to 29.9% and I'm going round in circles. I'm so angry that we had made the best out of our situation and now its just such a mess.

I know I need to post our expenditures but I really needed just to ask for help first, with an apology for not sticking to it before.
I think our total debt not including the mortgage is 68K.

    Hi newleafer

Welcome back and congratulations on your pregnancy. You don't need to apologise hun, becoming debt free is a learning curve and many of us make mistakes along the way. Post your new SOA when you are ready and i'm sure everyone will happily help if they can.

  • Hi newleafer and welcome back - don't beat yourself up! I did much the same thing in the past - what is important is that you've recognised it and now plan to deal with - learn from the past but look to the future. Congratulation on the pregnancy!

Hi there, we have all made mistakes, but just make sure this time you stick with the boards and stay focussed! Wagons are there to fall off, but they call past again for you to jump right back on!!

So, make a cup of coffee and get that revised SOA posted, and you will soon be fully ensconsed on your DFW journey again x

Have you had a look at entitledto.com to give you an idea of benefits post baby? we might be better working on your best estimate of post baby finances?

New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.
  • I would ditch sky asap if I were you, I know you are on your own but you can't afford it and freeview is pretty good (too late now if you've just signed up I guess). You spend a helluva lot on petrol, could this be reduced at all? Can the online game subs go? Can you cut the food bill down a bit, try the old style board for ideas. Congrats on the baby by the way.
