When to contact OR. re change of circumstances

Hi guys
As of next month I will have a new employer although still doing the same job. I know this now. I also know that my basic salary will increase slightly (enough to be paying tax from when it kicks in). I will also be getting paid monthly rather than weekly. Part of this end of April and full wage from end of may onwards.
I will also be paid commission based upon performance. This however I cannot estimate even based upon previous performance mainly because although I will have the same sales role, part of my duties will be to.complete admin work which does not.incur commission.
A few questions regarding the above :
When should I notify the OR? Now? Because I know what is going to happen. Or within 21 days of the change actually having taken place? (things are being done properly so I am yet to receive and sign a formal job offer).
How do I position the new financial arrangement? I was thinking along the lines of saying that I will be having a rise in basic salary but would be unable to properly estimate additional average commission as I do not know without being in the role for a couple of months. Would that suffice? If I was an OR I'd think that would sound a bit flimsy.
If the OR saw fit to implement an IPA anyways without needing to know average commission payments, would they be kind to me for the first month given that my payment frequency is changing and essentially I need to try and cover two months outgoings until I get a proper full pay at the end of may?
Sorry to ramble on. Hopefully that makes sense? Any advice is as always greatly received

You should notify them after the change has happened, as you have said within 21 days of it actually happening. The explanation about your salary should be okay, they would need an average of your commission to be able to work a monthly figure out. An IPA takes a couple of moths to set up even if you are given one so I would not worry about that. HTH

Thanks dojoman that has put my mind at rest

How would they be able to calculate the extra commission if even i do not know what it is?0 -
They will most likely ask you to send a copy of your payslip each month and then work out an average from there. Or ask you to send anything that is over and above your agreed SoA. Different OR's will do different things depending on the circumstances.
When is your AD?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
