Hey all,

I haven't tried this but a few colleagues have wanted to order things off Amazon, and found that ordering through the SPANISH Amazon site - https://www.amazon.es - gives them a good discount on many products due to the current exchange rate, and it turns out most of the items are dispatched from the UK anyway. You can log in using your standard Amazon UK login details.

Obviously it depends on whether your payment method offers a good rate on euros to pounds - I use the MSE-recommended Halifax Clarity card which gives great rates with no fees.

Definitely worth checking amazon.es before buying on amazon.co.uk

I had a look at a few things recently and found that the Euro price on .es equates to the GBP price on .uk at the prevalent exchange rate so no saving for me.

It's very hit and miss, sometimes you might get lucky.

The same can apply to amazon.de and amazon.it also

There can also be an exploitable difference by buying through the US site, for example a forthcoming 14 cd set by Yes is £75 via Amazon uk or the equivalent of £55 from the US. However packages over £18 can be charged duty at UK customs so the benefit might be reduced. No idea how often this is applied.

It's down to only £15 now.
